Rowan House® is a fully-adaptive therapeutic living environment that feels like a traditional family home. The two-story structure sits in a wooded neighborhood 45 minutes north of Houston. Uniquely designed to meet the specialized needs of combat veterans with underlying PTSD, Rowan House® provides an alternative to managed-care facilities.

 

Beginning with a foundational goal of holistic wellness, we reimagine the focus of palliative care from an extension of hospice to the basis of a long-term residential program for veterans with advanced traumatic brain injury (TBI) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

 

Our sanctuary design incorporates the healing power of nature with an integrated approach to post-traumatic palliative care. Every aspect of our home has been carefully curated to facilitate a life of meaningful activity and sensory-soothing experiences.
